Large Solid Wood Carved Brienz / Black Forest Eagle
Large Solid Wood Carved Brienz / Black Forest Eagle. Huge eagle carved out of a solid piece of wood by Heinz Schild of Brienzwil, Brienz in around 1970. Skilfully hewn in an Art Deco style, this monumental figure was awarded to the winner of a regional shooting competition in the senior category.
The eagle is in wonderful condition with on a few small chips at the very bottom of the base and a small, insignifant break on the tip of the wing. This part faces the back and can therfore not be seen.
